Gotong-royong at Shcool

On 13th May this year, a gotong royong were conducted at our school. The main aim of the gotong-royong was to clean and beautify the compound of the school such as fishponds, mini zoo, herb garden and others.  Plus, of course to avoid the spread of aedes. All students gathers around 8.00 am.           The herb garden was in bad condition. The grass was very long. There was rubbish everywhere. We divided our duties systematically and got to work. Members were divided into a few groups. We mowed the grass. We trimmed the bushes and cleared away all dead leaves and branches. Then, we swept and cleaned the grounds. One group clean the mini zoo which is the water feeder for guinea pig contain a lot of mosquito larvae.           At 10.30 am, we all took a break and had our lunch. Dengue: An Alarming Disease

Dengue is one of the most common vector-borne diseases in Southeast Asia, and has been ranked as the most important mosquito-borne viral disease with epidemic potential in the world. After reporting more than 100,000 dengue fever cases in 2016, Malaysia's dengue fever case count continues into 2017. It is an infectious disease carried by mosquitoes and caused by any of four related dengue viruses. There are four closely related but antigenically different serotypes of the virus that can cause dengue (DEN1, DEN 2, DEN 3, DEN 4). Mosquitoes are among the deadliest animals in the world.
